The CycleMesh uses a 70% nylon / 25% polyester / 5% elastane construction with a strategically minimal thickness — a thin 2mm sole cushioning zone rather than the 4-6mm found in running socks — that keeps the foot close to the shoe’s insole for efficient power transfer while still managing the pressure of long-duration pedaling contact. A full mesh upper construction maximizes the ventilation benefit of road airflow through shoe vent holes, reducing internal temperature and moisture during climbs and sustained efforts. The toe box and heel are reinforced against the specific abrasion patterns of cycling shoe interiors — the toe box rubbing of cleat walkability and the heel contact of stiff shoe backstay.
