The construction uses a 55% Merino wool / 30% nylon / 10% acrylic / 5% elastane blend that provides the layered thermal performance required for ski boot use — Merino at the inner face for moisture transport and thermal base, nylon throughout for structural durability and shape retention, and acrylic at the outer face for thermal retention as the boot environment cools during chairlift intervals. The shin and calf area uses thin-profile flat knit construction that eliminates pressure point formation inside the boot’s tight liner — ski socks must be thin enough to not change the precision fit of a tuned boot while still providing the warmth and moisture management that comfort requires. A reinforced shin pad zone at the mid-calf provides additional cushioning against the boot’s forward flex cuff, the primary pressure point during aggressive forward lean carving. The foot uses graduated cushioning — maximum at heel for ramp angle pressure, minimum at the forefoot where thin profile preserves ski boot sensitivity.
